We’re very excited to open for the annual Defiance Jazz Festival as the Host Band, on Saturday, July 15, 2023! You’ll also hear Adrian Crutchfield, the Jaimee Paul Trio, the Philippe LeJeune Trio and Cleveland’s Latin Jazz Players.
Come to Kingsbury Park in downtown Defiance, Ohio this summer for some live jazz. For your car’s GPS or map app, use either Kingsbury Park or 118 Auglaize Street in Defiance.
Defiance, Ohio is about an hour’s drive southwest of Toledo, an hour east of Fort Wayne, Indiana, an hour northwest from Findlay, Ohio, an hour north of Lima, Ohio and about 2-1/2 hours west of Cleveland and Akron.
The Defiance Jazz Festival has honored the memory of jazz greats “Wild” Bill Davison and Milt Buckner since the festival started in 2013. These two greats called Defiance, Ohio “home.” The festival recognizes their contributions to the genre and has educational opportunities about the history of jazz.
Food and drink vendors will be on the grounds at the festival so there’s no need to pack anything except lawn chairs or blankets. Come in and support your local food merchants.
